About Us

History

Duncan’s Bath and Kitchen Center began in 1956, when Elmer “Dunk” Duncan endeavored to establish a quality plumbing and heating business serving the Mahoning Valley. Through his work with residential and commercial contractors, he learned the area also needed a quality kitchen and bath remodeler, so in 1960 he opened a showroom in Poland, Ohio, and E.H. Duncan, the Bath and Kitchen Center was born.
Over the years, the company has become the go-to resource for all things remodeling. When Tom Duncan joined his father’s business in 1974, he earned his master plumbing license and created a heating and cooling division for the company. Today, Duncan’s is one of the few kitchen and bath remodelers licensed by the State of Ohio in plumbing, hydronics, electrical, heating and air conditioning.
Under Tom’s leadership, Duncan’s continues to respond to the changing demands of the area it serves. For those seeking quality replacement windows, Duncan’s added the Room Addition division and became the region’s Andersen Window and Door Replacement Center. To provide environmentally friendly options for remodeling projects, the Go Green program was launched in 2009.
The same year, Duncan’s recognized the needs of an aging population and established its Barrier Free Remodeling division. This specialized division has made great strides in helping both seniors and the disabled live independently, carrying the distinction of being a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, or CAPS installer.

More than 50 years ago, E.H. Duncan laid the foundation for a quality remodeling company. Today, Tom & his team of dedicated professionals maintain that same work ethic and dedication to providing quality kitchen and bath remodeling in Youngstown, Ohio and the surrounding area.
